These images were achieved by drawing in response to the movement at a dance performance. To make the photograms I placed drawings under photographic paper and exposed them for no longer than five seconds. The drawings were from my daughter’s dance show some years ago. I then took these exposed images on the photographic paper to her recent show and scratched into them with a lino tool, scratching on top of the lines made by the light. I was not able to see at all the type of marks that were being made but both time and movement have been captured in these images that were produced very spontaneously.
